Take Your Lashes To The Next Level!

12:7 fybc.jpgLash extensions are perfect for the holiday season, especially if you are planning on attending any seasonal parties. Before you come in for a full set, odds are you have some questions about the process. Here are the basics so that you can feel comfortable booking your first lash extension appointment with us.

Process: The entire process takes about 2 hours (an hour per eye). You should be lying down, with pads placed over your lower lashes, eyes closed. Using fine tweezers, one of our technicians will dip a fake eyelash in adhesive and then apply it to your natural lash, one millimeter above the root of your lash. Many of our clients find this process relaxing and some even fall asleep!

Safety: Some people might be allergic to the glue, which can cause redness and swelling, however, this is very rare. Our team here at FYBC are all professionally trained in lash extension application and have years of experience. That is why you can trust us to ensure your process goes smoothly.

Results: Long and stunning lashes are your end result! They are natural looking and very good quality. You should be able to comb through your lashes with a clean “spoolie” wand. It may take you a few days to adjust to longer lashes but the result is worth it!

Upkeep: Combing your lashes to ensure they do not tangle is important. It is also important to avoid rubbing your eyes. The best part is though, there is no need to apply mascara with your lash extensions on.

Ways To Keep Your Skin In Check During the Holiday’s

FYBC 11:14

Champagne toasts, late nights with the family and your mom’s mashed potatoes! We can’t get enough of the holiday season! Although you (and your stomach) may be yearning for some holiday fun, your skin is not. Fight the post-Thanksgiving breakout by reading up on some tips to help your skin through this delicious and joyous holiday.

Travel

November and December are the busiest travel months of the year, as people are making their journeys home to the family. Whether you are flying, driving or taking the train home this year, keep in mind that traveling often causes your skin to lose its moisture. The mix of recycled air, the stress that comes with traveling and the lack of sleep can leave your skin looking dull and dry. The key is to stay hydrated with the help of a heavy moisturizer and by drinking water.

Food Consumption

Fatty and sugary foods almost always increase the chance of a breakout. If you are prone to acne, avoid greasy foods this holiday season and add foods that contain healthy oil such as nuts, salmon, and eggs. The healthy oil will keep your skin from breaking out and drying out.

Stress

The combination of increased stress and alcohol consumption can negatively affect your skin. That being said, don’t let your mom’s comment about your pumpkin recipe get under your skin. The clarity of our skin is often contingent on our emotional stability.

Lack of Sleep & Alcohol Intake

Getting enough sleep, especially while you are on vacation is imperative to keeping your skin looking fabulous. Without sleep, our skin cells have a harder time generating!

Let’s face it, alcohol is just apart of the holiday season. However, it would be a good idea to think twice before finishing off the second bottle of champagne. Alcohol dehydrates the body like none other so, alternate your cocktail with a little water here and there.
